This is a pet project I am creating to consolidate stories of people who stumbled off the beaten track.
I was first inspired to do this sitting in a fascinating place called Bubión in Granada, Spain in March 2011. I was en-route to Pampaneira through the Southern Granada when I chanced upon Bubión in Las Apuljarras.

I thought to myself "another serendipitous experience, absolutely unplanned for". Then I pondered further - how many times have I experienced this? Where serendipity comes knocking on my door during one of my trips galavanting around the globe. It wasn't in the guidebook, and definitely wasn't in the itinerary. Yet it truly came to become a significant part of the journey.
Did this happen to you ever?
Were you invited to an event by a random stranger in your travels, only to live one of the best experiences of your life? A domestic festival in a small town, the most scrumptious local delicacy cooked in a tiny hut nestled in the backroads, a communal dance celebrating the end of a week-long marriage procession?
We all have stories of serendipity in our travels - directions and to-dos which would never appear in a guidebook, but you would love to share just because it left such a significant impression in your memories...
I'll get the ball rolling and if you feel a desire to share yours, drop me a note!

I SOTBT in Bubion, Pampaniera, Southern Spain:
Directions:
Go to the bus station west of the Renfe train station in Granada and catch the bus that says "Pampaniera". It costs about 10Euro for a one way journey of about 2 1/2 hours through the beautiful outskirts of Granada. Alight at Pampaniera and begin your journey up the hillside to find these little enchanting Spanish communities.
From this point you can begin your trek up the "Camino de Bubion" which takes you through 3 towns in Las Apuljarras. They are called Capileira, Bubion and Pampaneira.
Write the rest of this story by making the journey there... snapshot for reference! Suerte!
